Pillowexport converts a Pillowfort archive saved through the Tassel extension's Fort Archive feature into Markdown with front matter for Hugo, Eleventy, Jekyll, Astro, and other static site generators.

It exists because the Pillowfort Archival Initiative needed a way to turn saved archives into portable content.

• Parses the saved archive HTML: posts, threaded comments, and metadata
• Handles all Pillowfort post types: text, picture, video embeds, and link cards
• Exports comments to JSON and reblogs as stub posts
• Runs entirely in the browser: archives never leave the client
• Emits a report file with counts, warnings, and errors

Static Vite + React build in server/pillowexport/dist, served by an nginx:alpine container (folkzone-pillow) with a try_files fallback to index.html. No state, accounts, or secrets. To update: rebuild the web package in the pillowexport project and copy the new dist/ over the existing directory, then restart the container.
