tilde.green

tilde.green: a tildeverse member since 2022, running Ubuntu, with a stated focus on creativity and wildness. The machine's hostname is just tilde.

ssh you@tilde.green

mosh is also supported.

• ~/public_html/: served at tilde.green/~you/

• weechat, irssi: IRC clients
• byobu: persistent sessions
• mutt, alpine: mail clients
• finger: .plan files
• Editors: micro, nano, vim
• No bbj here

• The motd asks users to “be a good netizen”: report hackable things instead of exploiting them, and notes that ~green grants access to small or semi-private networks
• It also warns that accounts never logged into may be deleted if the user cannot be contacted
• Login-banner suppression uses its own mechanism: a file named ~/.config/tilde-green-hushed-login-mail rather than ~/.hushlogin
