folk.zone Infrastructure

Documentation for the folk.zone homelab infrastructure.

folk.zone is a self-hosted homelab running on the nitro server (192.168.1.65) in Calgary, Alberta. All services run in Docker containers orchestrated via docker-compose.

• Hardware - Nitro N50-640, 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12400F, 15GB RAM
• OS - Ubuntu 26.04 (Resolute Raccoon)
• Location - Calgary, Alberta, Canada
• Network - 192.168.1.65

All folk.zone services run from the folkzone-new directory on nitro. The architecture uses:

• Single compose file - folkzone-new/docker-compose.yml contains all services
• Shared Caddy - One reverse proxy handles TLS for all folk.zone subdomains
• No Cloudflare Tunnel - Direct HTTPS via Let's Encrypt
• Single network - folkzone_net for inter-container communication
• Consistent naming - folkzone_ prefix for all services and volumes
