===== What It Does =====

Pillowexport converts a Pillowfort archive saved through the [[https://www.pillowfort.social/posts/3798470|Tassel]] extension's Fort Archive feature into Markdown with front matter for Hugo, Eleventy, Jekyll, Astro, and other static site generators.

It exists because the Pillowfort Archival Initiative needed a way to turn saved archives into portable content.

  * Parses the saved archive HTML: posts, threaded comments, and metadata
  * Handles all Pillowfort post types: text, picture, video embeds, and link cards
  * Exports comments to JSON and reblogs as stub posts
  * Runs entirely in the browser: archives never leave the client
  * Emits a report file with counts, warnings, and errors

===== Configuration =====

Static Vite + React build in ''server/pillowexport/dist'', served by an ''nginx:alpine'' container (''folkzone-pillow'') with a ''try_files'' fallback to ''index.html''. No state, accounts, or secrets. To update: rebuild the web package in the pillowexport project and copy the new ''dist/'' over the existing directory, then restart the container.
